Join Lacey Horner for a milky way workshop at Lake Cuyamaca. We will meet at Chamber’s Park 15544 CA-79 (past the store and pub) at 6:00pm. There is a parking lot with a day use fee of $10 per car.
Scheduled during a new moon, the workshop will focus on camera settings, how to focus on the stars, and other techniques and tips for photographing the milky way. A word document with all the information covered during the workshop will be provided to take home. Sunset is at 7:22pm and the milky way core is visible starting at 8:49pm. Option to photography golden hour and sunset before setting up for the milky way.
Please bring a tripod, a wide angle (14mm-35mm) low light lens (f/1.4, f/1.8 or f/2.8), headlamp or flashlight, remote shutter release, and spare batteries. Other optional items to bring include a chair, snacks, water, bug spray. Be sure to wear proper footwear and dress in layers as it will get chillier at night.
