The students at San Dieguito Academy High School, during this very difficult time, were able to channel their thoughts, worries, vulnerabilities, and strength to create incredible photographic images this past year. Even though most had to use their cell phone cameras, they were able to still be creative and compelling with their assignments. These are some of the assignments the images came from:
- Environmental Close-Ups using animal figurines
- Macro using forks or spoons
- Spooky Photos using ghosting/camera movement
- Elements of Design
Their photography instructor Susan Coppock shared with us, “As this is my last year of teaching, I was overwhelmed to see the effort and creativity these kids put into their photographs using mostly the basics with their cell phones. High school kids ROCK!” Poly Flickr gallery link: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmVUkHbk
Images were submitted online to our club and Poly members judged the images – a difficult task! Monetary scholarships went to the first, second, third and five honorable mention winners.
