“Photoshop Layers – An Artist’s Journey”

 

Stephen Burns will share creative insight to using layers in a way that will help you express yourself more completely as an artist.  This lecture will be focused on creating a vision and understanding the strategic use of layers.

 

Learn to view them as a means to visual expression and not just as an appropriate workflow.  See what can be possible when you think outside of the box.

 

You will learn:

1)Establishing a strong vision to guide your workflow.

2)Effective use of Smart Objects.

3)Using layer groups.

4)Applying layer mask to layer groups.

5)A look at the Creative use of the layer blend modes.

Walkabout – with cell phone!

Saturday, May 22nd meet in front of the Photo Arts Building in Balboa Park at 9:15am, cell phones fully charged and ready to go!

We will then walkabout Balboa Park looking for that most excellent image with your cell phone.

Meet back up at 10:50am in front of the El Prado area near the El Cid Statue for a group photo.

Then fully vaccinated people can mosey over to the outdoor Panama 66 restaurant for an early lunch (they open at 11am) and, of course, conversation!
