New Mexico Trip Oct 2025

A group of nine, which included seven members, made the trip to northwestern New Mexico for four+ days of photography, coordinated by Lacey Horner. Lacey mapped out times and iconic locations. Thank you, Lacey!
Government closures threw a wrench in our plans for some places, but fortunately plenty was accessible and photoshoots were part of the road trip coming and returning.
We found ourselves in four different states — AZ, UT, NM, CO!  Locations included Monument Valley, Mexican Hat, Four Corners, Mesa Verde National Park, Durango, Ship Rock, Bisti Badlands (Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness), Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon.
Thanks to everyone who submitted images for the Poly Flickr site. The album is at  https://www.flickr.com/gp/polyphotoclub/26d4q6GR2C

SCACC Excels at PSA Councils Challenge

The Southern California Association of Camera Clubs performed very well at this year’s PSA Councils Challenge placing fourth in the overall high scoring councils section. SCACC received a second place in the councils color images category, a third place in the councils nature images category and tied for third place in the councils monochrome images category with the Greater Detroit Camera Club Council. The New England Camera Club Council took first place in overall high scoring councils.

Many thanks to Poly’s Interclub coordinator, James Woodward and his team of Steven Krause and Richard Strobel. A huge thanks to SCACC’s Interclub Committee of Lin Craft, Heid Gauthreaux, Rick Gauthreaux, Joan Harris, and chairperson Frimmel Smith plus each of the club Interclub reps who made it possible for SCACC’s participation and submissions of the SCACC images to the Councils Challenge.
