Poly Members Win at SD County Fair!

Congratulations to all of you who participated in the 2025 International Exhibition of Photography at the San Diego County Fair!

Many thanks to the coordinators, staff and judges for all their hard work in mounting this exhibition of 1,179 photographs selected from 3,400 entries. Judges chose approximately one out of three entries to hang in the exhibition.
Poly members did very well this year. Of our 84 members, there were 27 who had 142 images hanging on the walls.
      • Mark Ochenduszko received the Gene Wild Award. 
      • 14 members received 26 ribbons for 1st through 4th place — 20% of the exhibition’s 131 place ribbons.
      • 19 members received 33 Honorable Mention ribbons — 17% of the exhibition’s 191 HM ribbons.

Poly Shines at SD Fair Photo Exhibition

Congratulations to all of you who participated in the 2024 International Exhibition of Photography at the San Diego County Fair!
Many thanks to the coordinators, staff and judges for all their hard work in mounting this exhibition of 1,183 photographs selected from 3,601 entries. Judges chose approximately one out of three entries to hang in the exhibition.
Poly members did very well this year. Of our 77 members, there were 29 who had 181 images hanging on the walls.
      • Cathy Presmyk received the Gene Wild Award. 
      • 12 members received 29 ribbons for 1st through 4th place — 21% of the exhibition’s 139 place ribbons.
      • 19 members received 39 Honorable Mention ribbons — 21% of the exhibition’s 189 HM ribbons.

Poly Excels at SCACC Year-End Interclub Competition

The Southern California Association of Camera Clubs 2023 Year-End Interclub competition results are in and Poly finished with the highest club point total out of the four competing clubs.

James Woodward’s image, Watchful Eye took first place and Patti Lamm was awarded third place for Team Oppenheimer (see both below). Out of the 11 honorable mentions seven went to Poly members – Joan Everds, Heidi Gauthreaux (2), Joan Harris, Paul Shilling, Robin Stern, and James Woodward.
