Poly will hold the 2023 Year-End Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will reveal the best images of the year, and feature a year in review, 2023 awards, People’s Choice voting, raffle prizes and a 50-50 drawing. The luncheon will be held at La Jolla Country Club and is an annual highlight for club members and guests.

Poly Members Shine at Councils Challenge
Poly Photo Club members took numerous honors in the Photographic Society of America’s 2023 Councils Challenge. Congratulations to Judy MacLean for capturing Best in Show as well as first place in the Monochrome Open section for her Ballerina Prepares.
Kudos to Heidi Gauthreaux for first place in the Color Open section and an honorable mention in the Nature Open section, and to Darlene Elwin and James Woodward for their honorable mentions in the Monochrome Open section and Color Open section, respectively.
The Southern California Association of Camera Clubs of which Poly is a member did very well in the Challenge with a tie for third place for Overall High Score; a tie for second place in the Monochrome Open section; and second in the Nature Open section. 12 councils from across the country entered this year’s competition.
